The current climate trend on the archipelago of Svalbard is very clear: each season is warming, not just the winters. Locals in Longyearbyen, the largest town on Spitsbergen, say that Svalbard is becoming more like Bergen, rain gear and umbrellas are replacing snow suits and snowshoes.
